Running a tournament
on PsTally.
Brackets, registration, live scoring, WhatsApp sharing — free for every lounge. Here’s how to run one start to finish.
Create an organizer account
Go to app.tempforest.com/organizer/register. Your organizer account is separate from your lounge owner account — you can run tournaments even if you don't have a PsTally subscription. One account, multiple tournaments.
Create your tournament
From your organizer dashboard, hit New Tournament. Set the name, game (FC26, GTA, Mortal Kombat — anything), format (knockout, groups + knockout, or league), maximum number of players, entry fee, and prize pool. The bracket format is generated automatically.
Share the registration link
PsTally generates a public registration page at a shareable link. Drop it in your WhatsApp group, Instagram, wherever your players are. Players register with their name and phone number. If you charge an entry fee, they enter their M-Pesa transaction code when registering.
Close registration and seed the bracket
When you're ready to start, close registration and generate the bracket. Players are seeded into the draw. You can shuffle the seeding if needed before locking it. Once locked, matches are set.
Run matches and enter scores
Your staff uses a separate staff panel link — no login needed, just the token — to enter scores match by match. When a match result is entered, the bracket updates immediately. The winner advances, the bracket draws itself.
Share the live bracket
Every tournament has a public view link — share it before and during the event. Anyone can follow the bracket on their phone without an account. Every bracket shared on WhatsApp is a reminder your lounge exists.
BRACKET FORMATS
Single elimination. Lose once, you're out. Fast and dramatic. Best for 8–16 players.
Group stage first, then the top players from each group advance to a knockout bracket. Good for 16–32 players.
Everyone plays everyone. Points decide the standings. Best for smaller groups where you want maximum matches.
Common questions
Do I need a PsTally lounge subscription to run tournaments?
No. Tournaments are free for everyone — lounge owners and independent organizers alike. No subscription required.
Can players see the bracket from their phones?
Yes. The public view link works on any phone without login. Share it on WhatsApp and your players can follow live.
How does M-Pesa entry fee collection work?
You share your M-Pesa number with players during registration. When they register, they enter their transaction code. You verify it manually — PsTally records the entry against their registration.
Can home players (no lounge) enter?
Yes. Console requirement was removed — anyone can register. The tournament runs wherever the players are.
How many players can a tournament have?
Up to 64 players in the current version. Larger events are on the roadmap.
